Business

We address the critical insurance issues facing business owners and risk managers – from small businesses to large companies with hundreds of employees. Today’s changing business climate requires that commercial insurance offer protection beyond the basic coverages traditionally purchased to protect assets. We evaluate your risks, and with you develop a comprehensive coverage plan. As your business grows, we make sure your coverage grows with you.

Property Coverages – Insurance that indemnifies the owner or user of property for its loss, or the loss of its income-producing ability, when the loss or damage is caused by a covered peril, such as fire or explosion. In this sense, property insurance encompasses inland marine, boiler and machinery, and crime insurance, as well as what was once known as fire insurance, now simply called property insurance: insurance on buildings and their contents.

Liability Insurance – Insurance designed to protect business owners and operators from a wide variety of liability exposures. Exposures could include liability arising from accidents resulting from the insured’s premises or operations, products sold by the insured, operations completed by the insured, and contractual liability.

Workers’ Compensation – If an employee is injured on the job, workers’ compensation coverage provides payment for medical care, rehabilitation and a portion of wages if the person is unable to work. If the worst situation happens and an employee dies while on the job, it provides a death benefit to a worker’s dependents.

Commercial Auto – The business auto policy addresses the needs of most commercial entities, where many personal auto policies may exclude coverage for business use; includes auto liability and auto physical damage coverages; other coverages are available by endorsement.

Umbrella Coverages – Commercial umbrella insurance is a secondary policy that covers a wide variety of contingencies. The purpose of an umbrella policy is to fill in gaps or exclusions in your primary policy. It comes into effect when the limits of your underlying insurance are exceeded.

Business Packages – Commercial insurance can often be available in an affordable, General Liability and Property package policy known as a Business Owner’s Policy, or BOP. For many growing companies, BOPs offer great small business insurance coverage at very competitive premiums.

Farm Insurance – These policies, sometimes referred to as farm insurance, provide homeowners, commercial property, and commercial liability coverage. The unique combination of commercial and personal coverages is necessary because it is typical for farms to have both residential and commercial characteristics. Coverage can apply to farms or ranches. These types of policies typically pertain to family and individually operated farms.

Bonds – Three-party contracts in which one party, the surety, guarantees the performance or honesty of a second party, the principal (obligor), to the third party (obligee) to whom the performance or debt is owed.

Professional Liabilty – Often times called Errors & Omissions insurance, this type of policy provides coverage to professionals due to unforseen errors in providing advice to clients.

Directors & Officers Insurance – These policies cover the board of directors of organizations from claims involving slander or libel. This type of coverage is well suited for companies with a board of directors or non-profit organizations.
